The Bjørn Vidar Solli Trio consists of the Norwegian jazz guitarist Bjørn Vidar Solli, the Australian bass guitarist Jasper Leak and Adam Pache on drums. The Trio is on an Australian Tour, visiting Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Hobart. The Trio plays at the Hippo Lounge in Canberra on 16 April 2008.

Bjørn Vidar Solli is a professional jazz musician, born in Norway in 1979, and is currently living in New York.
He was voted "young Norwegian jazz musician of the year" in Norway in 2002 and has since won numerous awards throughout Europe, including soloist prizes in Belgium, Monaco and Spain, audience prizes in Switzerland and Spain, and a composition prize in France.
He is a member of MTV-featured R&B-singer Nora Noor's band and in 2005 he performed at the Nelson Mandela concert in Tromsø, Norway in front of 18,000 spectators.
He has opened for artists such as Alicia Keys, Manhattan Transfer, Anthony Hamilton, Jean Luc Ponty, Peter Gabriel, Robert Plant, Annie Lenox etc.
He plays with musicians such as Will Vinson, Kendrick Scott, Matt Penman, Orlando Le Flemming, Bryn Roberts, Matt Clohesy, Tomm Crane, Derek Nievergelt, Karlie Bruce, Rodney Green, Wayne Batchelor, Jonathan Blake, Mark Ferber, Jon Wikan, Oriin Evans, Ingrid Jensen etc.
Solli also tours with the trio SOLID comprising Bjørn Vidar Solli (guitar), Håkon Mjåset (drums) and Daniel Formo (organ). The group has received several jazz awards both in Norway and abroad. SOLID is considered to be among the most exciting jazz groups in Norway. SOLID has toured the world for 6 years and keeps thrilling its audiences. The trio recently released their critically acclaimed CD, "SOLID".
In 2005 Bjørn Vidar Solli toured Nepal and India for three weeks. In 2007 he toured USA, China, Vietnam, India, Nepal, Sweden, Ireland and Norway. He has also toured in Russia, Ireland and sung and played for a million viewers on national television.
