Jim Denley (saxophone/flute) has for a few decades been one of Australias foremost improvisers of new music. In August he will be joined by the Norwegian guitarist Kim Myhr for 5 duo concerts along the east coast of Australia.
08/08/2007 :: Their first CD as a duo entitled "Systems Realignment and the Singing Neanderthal" will be recorded in Sydney in the same periode, scheduled for relase on a European label in 2008.
The music can be described as soft and sensual "sound poetry", with emphasis on physicality of sound and spontaneous interaction. The duo will also perform in Norway and Spain this autumn.
