Last updated: 13/09/2010 // The Norwegian Church Abroad in Sydney celebrated the inauguration of minister Lena Rebekka and her husband Ole Jacob Risnes on Sunday 5 September.

The weather was lovely, though a little gusty, and the service was very well attended. Minister Jan Tommy Fosse from the Norwegian Church Abroad in Singapore presided over the service.

Among those who travelled to the church to join the minister and her family were Embassy Secretary Mary Andersen and many of the Norwegians residing in the Sydney area including war veteran Roald F. Larsen and his wife Fae. All who attended enjoyed a moving homily from the minister and a delightful reception afterwards.

The minister, her husband Ole Jakob Risnes and their son Sivert are looking forward to serving the Norwegian community in Australia. The Embassy once again extends its best wishes to minister Lena Rebekka Risnes and her family.
