Norwegian documentary production showing in Australia

Last updated: 02/02/2012 // The award winning documentary "Modern Slavery", produced and directed by Norwegians is showing tonight 8:35 PM on SBS 2.

"Modern slavery" depicts how slavery continues to exsist, despite the fact that it is illegal everywhere. Trafficking, child labour, sex slavery, debt slavery and child soldiers are amongst the most usual forms of modern slavery, and the documentary contains examples from Uganda, India, Moldova, Cambodia and France.

The film is directed by Thomas Robsahm & Tina Davis, and produced by Thomas Robsahm & Margreth Olin. The documentary won the Amanda Prize in 2009, and has also achieved international recognition.

The first episode will be screened 2 Thursday February at 8:35 PM on SBS 2,
and the next episode will be screened Thursday 9 February.

The Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jonas Gahr Støre has clearly expressed his expectations towards Norwegian Companies to be the best at practising Corporate Social Respnsibility.
