Norwegian film on tour with Australia's premier International Short Film Festival

The accomplished Norwegian film, Little Miss Eyeflap (Skylappjenta) is screened all over Australia as part of the Flickerfest tour's programme International 2. On Saturday 20 March the film is shown in Canberra.

Skylappjenta (2009) is the story of a Norwegian-Pakistani girl who escapes the forced marriage her family has planned for her, breaking with her own culture. As part of the Flickerfest programme the film has been screened in Sydney, Byron Bay, Alice Springs, Avoca, Adelaide, Kempsey, Sawtell, Brisbane, Perth and Dungog before coming to Canberra.

This year Flickerfest celebrates its 19th year as Australia’s only Academy® Award accredited Short Film festival, with a record 1600 entries and 23 touring venues nationally. Flickerfest screens the most creative and inspirational shorts films from across the globe, many are Australian and World premieres. A total of 97 Australian and International shorts were officially selected in competition in 2010. The films on the tour are all united by their excellence within the short film genre and represent the latest trends in global cinema.
