Norway and Australia ranked the best countries to live in

Last updated: 06/11/2011 // The official UN Human Development Index for 2011 ranks Norway as the number one country according to measures of human development standards, closely followed by Australia as number two.

The last three years, Norway has been ranked the country with the highest human development in the world, closely followed by Australia on the Human Development Index list. This is a list made according to measures of levels of income, distribution of income, life expectancy and level of education. Australia and Norway are very even on most indicators, and achieve overall scores of respectively 0.93 and 0.94 out of 1.

New Zealand is also among the top five, with an overall score of almost 0.91 on the HDI.
