There’s no longer a must to take a road trip in Norway to experience the fabulous tourist attractions. Bold architecture merging stunning nature is displayed in the Norwegian exhibit “Detour”, which will be shown in Berlin, Caen and Paris.
05/10/2007 :: “Detour” demonstrates Norwegian landscapes in combination with various motoring routes and modern design and architecture through brass-rimmed display case from the 1900s.
Rest areas, viewing platforms and service points are not usually the exciting hot spots of a journey. The Detour exhibition however, highlights numerous innovative and interesting installations along 18 of Norway’s tourist routes.
The constructions have been designed by Norwegian as well as international architects, landscape architects and designers. Some of the villages that have these new installations have already been mapped out and recognised within international architectural circles.
